At our cabin my youngest daughter ‘the little one’ has taken repurposing very seriously in her decorating. Everything from old windows, to metal crates and baskets, to ladders and an old storage bench.
Metal basket for the spare rolls.
Metal crates for towel storage.
An old half moon window, an old wooden box for a corner, and an old nail keg for a side table.
A ladder painted with chalk paint for storing blankets and throws for those chilly nights.
A storage bench also given a coat of chalk paint is now the perfect toy box.
An old window on the mantel with original patina and some antler sheds as a focal point.
And lastly a cool wood and metal piece to replicate a church window.
Many of these items were thrown away or found at thrift stores but you can see how easily they are transformed and bring warmth and history to the rooms.
